Our Process - buying a new investment product

1. Combined Initial Disclosure Document - key facts about our services
It is important that you have information at an early stage including the nature and scope of the services that we may offer. Please read our Combined Initial Disclosure Document and print off a copy or store it on your hard drive for future reference.

2. Tell us the product you are interested in

If you are making a preliminary enquiry, you just need to include your details, the product provider and the product name or names. If for any reason the form does not work on your browser you can use our e-mail address shown on our contacts page. Please provide your name, address, the product provider, the exact name of the product, the amount, the term of investment and other options, if applicable. If we need further information we will contact you by e-mail (please note we will not use your e-mail address for any other purpose without your permission).

3. We will send you the appropriate information
To purchase a product, we must ensure that you have access to the following:

  • Clubfinance's Combined Initial Disclosure Document (see above);
  • the product provider's Key Features document or Prospectus for the product;
  • the product provider's Terms of Business if separate;
  • the product provider's application form;
  • Clubfinance's Terms of Business;
  • Any additional risk warnings such as those for VCTs, Investment Trusts and PEP/ISA transfers; and
  • a Commission Statement (and personal illustration).

We will send you via e-mail, the product provider's Key Features (or equivalent) and Terms and Conditions for your product. Please note that if we have not previously dealt with a product provider there may be a delay while we register with the product provider. We will also send you a commission statement detailing the commission on your product and our rebates of commission to you. If you have not specified all the details in your original request, this will be an illustration only.

4. Read the Key Features (or equivalent) documentation
It is important to read the product provider's key features associated with the product purchased
and either print off a copy or store it on your hard drive for future reference. If you feel you need any form of advice you must not use our service, we offer an execution-only service for individuals who require no advice.

5. Read the product provider's Terms of Business
It is important that you read the product provider's Terms of Business, and either print off a copy or store it on your hard drive for future reference.

6. Read our (Clubfinance Ltd) Terms of Business and any additional risk warnings
It is important you understand our Terms of Business, as we rebate high levels of commission, we provide a very specific service. To understand our service fully you must read our Terms of Business.
You should either print off a copy or store it on your hard drive for future reference together with any additional risk warnings that are relevant to your investment. Our Terms of Business are applicable to all transactions with Clubfinance Ltd and can be found using the following link:

7. Check the Commission Statement (and Personal Illustration if applicable)
It is a requirement of the Financial Conduct Authority for you to be aware of the commission relating to the product you are purchasing in terms of pounds and pence. We will send you a Commission Statement that shows the expected commissions from your investment and the amount rebated by Clubfinance. Some commissions are based on the future value of your investment, so the actual commission obtained will vary with investment performance. For this commission we will provide examples. You acknowledge the Commission Statement by signing our client declaration form. We regret we cannot process an application until we have evidence that you understand the commission associated with your investment.

To process an application the Commission Statement (and Personal Illustration, if applicable) must match the amount and product options on the application form you provide to us. Please request a new Commission Statement (and personal illustration) if this is not the case. You should either print off a copy or store it on your hard drive for future reference. 8. Print and complete the Clubfinance Client Declaration form
It is important that you fully understand our service and confirm to us that you have taken due care and diligence in choosing your investment. The client declaration provides an important checklist and evidences to us your acceptance of our Terms of Business. We regret we cannot process an application unless we receive a signed copy of the client declaration form.
You should also either print off a copy or store it on your hard drive for future reference.

9. Proof of name and address
If this is the first time you are using our service, you must ensure that you send us relevant proof of your name and address. Due to strict money laundering regulations we cannot process your application without these. If you have changed your name or address since last using our service you must also supply further identification. Our identification requirements and information regarding what forms of identification are acceptable to us are found using the following link:

If however you do not have any of the forms of identification listed, then please send an e-mail explaining your circumstances to our e-mail address shown on our contacts page and we will make our best efforts to find a suitable alternative means of verification for you.

10. Complete the product provider's application form
The product provider's application form must be completed, signed and posted to us along with the other required documentation.
You should also either print off a copy or store it on your hard drive for future reference.

If you are enclosing a cheque, this must be made out to the product provider as shown on the application form.
